Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

Effective Date: 1 May 2025

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs your use of the LizBet Drive platform, including our Android app, website, APIs, and related services. All users—whether car owners (Hosts), renters, guests, or staff—must adhere to these rules to promote a safe, lawful, and respectful peer-to-peer rental environment.

2. Prohibited Activities

2.1 Fraud and Misrepresentation

• Listing vehicles without legal ownership or authorization.
• Using false identification, stolen documents, or impersonating others.
• Providing misleading descriptions, mileage, or availability.
• Operating multiple accounts to deceive or gain advantage.

2.2 Harassment and Abuse

• Using offensive, discriminatory, or harassing language or behavior.
• Unwanted contact, stalking, or privacy violations.
• Spamming users with unsolicited content.

2.3 Platform Manipulation

• Falsifying reviews or ratings.
• Circumventing moderation, verification, or listing filters.
• Arranging rentals or payments outside of LizBet’s structured system to avoid platform policies or fees.

2.4 Unlawful or Unsafe Use

• Using vehicles for illegal activities or in violation of road safety laws.
• Allowing unauthorized individuals to operate rented vehicles.
• Listing vehicles that are stolen, unroadworthy, uninsured, or under legal dispute.

3. Data & Security Violations

• Attempting to access accounts, records, or systems without authorization.
• Uploading viruses, malicious code, or scraping site data.
• Sharing login credentials or using compromised accounts.
• Abusing personal data of other users or staff.

4. Payment and Deposit Conduct

• Soliciting off-platform payment or deposit methods without clarity or consent.
• Charging unexpected or hidden fees without proper communication.
• Misrepresenting deposit conditions.
• Note: A Host may request a refundable deposit before releasing a car. This is solely at the Host’s discretion and must be clearly communicated to the Renter. LizBet Drive does not manage, hold, or mediate such deposits.

5. Vehicle Listing Rules

• Vehicles must be lawfully owned, roadworthy, and have valid documentation.
• Descriptions must accurately reflect the current state of the vehicle.
• Do not relist banned, disputed, or inactive vehicles.

6. Bookings & Cancellations

• Do not cancel bookings arbitrarily or fail to honor confirmed reservations.
• Repeated no-shows or cancellations may result in suspension.
• Users should adhere to agreed timelines and communicate changes promptly.

7. Communication Etiquette

• Use the in-app chat responsibly for booking-related conversations.
• No harassment, solicitation, or irrelevant promotion is permitted.
• Respect privacy and boundaries of other users.

8. Reporting and Enforcement

• Violations of this AUP may result in temporary or permanent suspension, legal escalation, or data removal.

9. AUP Updates

This policy may be updated periodically to reflect legal, operational, or technical changes. Users will be notified via in-app notifications or email. Continued use of LizBet Drive constitutes acceptance of any changes.
