Terms and Conditions
These terms explain how LizBet Drive works for renters, hosts, and visitors using our marketplace for cars, buses, and trucks. They are written to make the platform rules clear before anyone lists, requests, or confirms a booking.
These Terms and Conditions form a binding agreement between you and LizBet Drive (Pty) Ltd. By creating an account, browsing listings, submitting a request, listing a vehicle, or using the platform in any way, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, you should stop using the service.
1. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be legally able to enter into contracts and provide accurate account information. Renters must hold a valid driver's licence where self-drive access is requested. Hosts must only list vehicles they are legally entitled to offer.
2. Marketplace Role
LizBet Drive is a peer-to-peer platform. We help connect vehicle owners and renters, but we are not the owner of listed vehicles and we are not the direct party to each rental agreement between host and renter.
3. Listings and Accuracy
- Hosts must provide accurate details, pricing, photos, availability, and collection information.
- Cars, buses, and trucks must be roadworthy, lawfully registered, and supported by the documents we request.
- Vehicle descriptions must not hide defects, limits, approval status, or package restrictions.
4. Verification and Access Control
Access to parts of the platform may depend on KYC, vehicle review, package status, or role eligibility. We may approve, reject, suspend, or request more information where safety, fraud prevention, or compliance requires it.
5. Bookings and Requests
- Renters submit requests subject to availability, eligibility, and host approval.
- Users may not book their own vehicles or bypass booking restrictions built into the platform.
- Hosts and renters should confirm pickup, return, inspection, and kilometre expectations before handover.
6. Payments, Fees, Packages, and Renewals
LizBet Drive may charge package fees, listing fees, platform fees, or renewal fees depending on the service being used. Rental payment terms between renter and host must be understood clearly before the trip starts. Package access, listing limits, and renewals may control how many vehicles a host can actively publish on the platform.
Platform fees paid for service access, request routing, or package activation may be non-refundable once the relevant service has been delivered or the package has been activated, unless law or a specific written policy states otherwise.
7. Deposits and Direct Rental Payments
A host may request a deposit or direct rental payment depending on the booking arrangement. Unless expressly stated, LizBet Drive does not hold those funds on behalf of users and does not guarantee payment recovery between parties.
8. Vehicle Use and Responsibility
- Renters must use vehicles lawfully, safely, and only for the agreed purpose.
- Unauthorized drivers, reckless use, overloading, or illegal activity are prohibited.
- Damage, fines, tolls, fuel shortages, late returns, and excess-kilometre use may create liability.
9. Cancellation, Suspension, and Enforcement
We may limit accounts, remove listings, block requests, or suspend users who misuse the platform, misrepresent vehicles, upload false information, avoid required payments, or create trust and safety risk for others.
10. Privacy and Data
Your use of LizBet Drive is also governed by our Privacy Policy and related platform policies. By using the service, you consent to the processing needed to operate the marketplace.
11. Liability and Disputes
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LizBet Drive is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from user conduct, vehicle condition disputes, off-platform arrangements, or third-party actions. We may assist with records or communication history, but users remain responsible for resolving their rental disputes.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as the platform evolves. Updated terms become effective when posted with a new effective date. Continuing to use the platform after an update means you accept the revised terms.
